Party Time
Over Summer Break during my colleges days I partied a lot. By partied, I mean, I went out and got wasted and struck out with all the ladies, until one fateful summer night. It was a very muggy night and one of my friends was having a house party. His brother a couple years younger than us was also having friends over, I didn't really know everyone there. The party was just like your typical run of the mill college house party until I saw the best looking girl ever. Right away I knew that I had no chance with her but I saw her talking to another sexy girl that seemed shy and timid (just my type). Using my primal instincts I went in for .....

Dear Brat
We moved from Ohio to South Carolina when I was a 15, and I hated my parents for that. I had a snotty attitude about people from the south. What can I say, I am a yankee! Naturally, when I graduated I moved back up north and went to college. Yet Fourth of July is an important holiday in my family, and something about the south made my parents never want to leave. I was doomed to have to go back to visit South Carolina every summer.
Fireworks play a big part in our summer festivities. For four years, I would visit the fireworks stand near our home. There was this same guy working there every year. I thought he was gorgeous, but figured .....

She Didn t Look Like This Then
It was late on a Friday night around 11:00 at the neighborhood pub in Kalispell, Montana when I met Sherry. Funny thing was I literally ran into her while I was going out the door to leave for the night. Anyhow, there she was coming in, looking so lovely.
And no, I wasn’t drunk! We were face to face and she says “Not bad, maybe go shave and we’ll see how it goes”. Well I lived about a block away and I was planning on shaving any way…
So I went back to the pub and sat and we talked for a couple hours. I was very impressed with her, she was unlike most of the women who came to that pub. I knew she was new to the area or just hadn’t been .....

Oh Deer
I decided I’d try out the internet dating scene after a horrendous relationship break-up about 10 years ago.
I met several women while online and only knew what they said about themselves, which usually was a fantasy. Then along came Debbie. She was very beautiful in all ways. We were a perfect match. We wrote and talked for a few weeks, then decided to meet.
It was a Sunday afternoon; a beautiful day and we mutually agreed to meet at her house. She lived in the country, up in the woods, very secluded area and quite a scenic view from her house. We sat out back under the tree at a table. We had a glass of wine and just talked. She wa.....

Mysterious Romance
I remember the day clearly because my overactive imagination was getting the best of me…again. It happened near Front Street at the edge of town. I was taking a morning jog and enjoying the crisp morning air with the sun beating down on my back. I felt invigorated and all of my senses were heightened.
I’d only been running for about ten minutes when I noticed a presence behind me. I could feel his gaze burning into my back and it sent chills up my spine.
I felt a spurt of excitement as I realized I was being watched and followed. What could he possibly want? I wondered to myself. This wasn’t the first time I had felt a .....

A Girl, a Boy and a Dog
I found myself with a free day off so I decided to give the pooch a run on the beach. Kharma, a large, black shepherd mix has a high energy level and she enjoys a romp in the ocean chasing her tennis ball.
Luck was on our side today, the beach was vacant except for one guy sitting on a blanket, watching the waves.
I threw the ball for the dog. She splashed into the water and swam out after it. She caught it easily and returned it for another throw.
As the game continued my mind wandered as I watched a sea lion and some gulls hunt for their breakfast.
My brain finally registered that the dog was out of my sight and I heard her .....

Love at second sight
I love old movies, especially those steamy, romantic flicks of the 1940s-1950s when two strangers meet in an exotic place and suddenly fall head-over-heels in love. While I'm sure some couples' initial encounter can honestly be called love at first sight, that's not my story.
I met my husband Marty when we were college freshmen taking the same Spanish class. Since we were both modern language majors, we shared many classes throughout our four years of study. But except for an occasional smile of recognition at chance meetings around the campus, nothing really clicked.
Jump ahead a few years. I was employed at a government office in NYC. I .....

The American / Irish Connection
My fiancé and I met online on a social networking Web site in February of 2007. We started talking more frequently as the days passed and we realized that we had a strong level of compatibility. We decided to make ourselves officially a couple on April 3rd, 2007. A lot of the people who knew about us were supportive of the relationship, but of course there were those who were skeptical because it was a long distance relationship; I lived in Florida and she lived all the way in Ireland. After two and a half months of being a couple, we wanted to put all our hopes into a reality by meeting in person.
On June 21st, 2007 we finally met, and it .....

Luck of the Irish Pub
God I remember that night like it was yesterday. I had just moved to Boston to fill a position at an up-and-coming law firm. While I had met a nice group of people my age at the firm I wasn’t nearly the man about town that I had been during college. I accepted the fact that my days as an out all night partier were over and I settled into the one night-out a week with friends routine. Out of the few younger people at work I got to know a handful well, and we began to spend a majority of our free time together. There was Kevin who I actually graduated college with, Garren who was a bit of a loud-mouth but all in all a good guy, and Kylene .....
