She Didn t Look Like This Then

It was late on a Friday night around 11:00 at the neighborhood pub in Kalispell, Montana when I met Sherry. Funny thing was I literally ran into her while I was going out the door to leave for the night. Anyhow, there she was coming in, looking so lovely.
And no, I wasn’t drunk! We were face to face and she says “Not bad, maybe go shave and we’ll see how it goes”. Well I lived about a block away and I was planning on shaving any way…
So I went back to the pub and sat and we talked for a couple hours. I was very impressed with her, she was unlike most of the women who came to that pub. I knew she was new to the area or just hadn’t been in there much.
Turns out she was from Reno, Nevada and went to the same high school as I did! We in fact were in some of the same classes together. This was amazing! As we talked I got to where I remembered her back then and thought, “Wow! She didn’t look like this…” But before I could say it, She said the same about me.
Well we started seeing each other quite often and long phone chats for hours.
I guess we did that for a few months and one day, it was my birthday and we were out at a restaurant having dinner when she mentioned she had a surprise for me and she’d show me after dinner.
So the surprise, she had tickets to go to a show at the local casino. Cool, I thought. So we headed over to see the show, she was driving and pulls up to a night club, In the window was a big sign “Wet T-Shirt Contest Tonite! 8PM” I asked “what are you doing?” “Oh I’m just checking to see if I had enough time to run home and get a T-shirt”. I was a little surprised until she started laughing.
We got to the casino as the doors were opening for show, It was fantastic! Old time rock band and they rocked on! It was a beautiful evening and she decided she’d come home with me.
We’ve made plans for a june wedding. Yes, She said yes!
